Support Borders Youth Theatre
All Borders Youth Theatre activities are subsidised with grants, by fundraising or volunteers donating their time to keep our projects and workshops affordable for all young people in the Scottish Borders. Without this support the project fees would typically be twice the current amount that the young people are asked to contribute and unaffordable for many.  In addition, Borders Youth Theatre operates a bursary scheme which helps around 20% of the participants with part or all of their fees.
You can donate by BACs directly into the charity’s Unity Trust bank account:

Grant Funding
: Borders Youth Theatre activities are run by experienced, qualified professionals and organised by volunteer Trustees. Performance projects, particularly the intensive production weeks, typically cost many thousands of pounds to stage. Borders Youth Theatre works in partnership with LIVE Borders and appreciates their support and financial help for specific work across the region. Live Borders grant currently covers over 10% of total annual running costs. For the remainder of funding required applications are made to funders such as charitable trusts and community funds. The successful grant applications are supplemented by personal donations and volunteer-organised fundraising events.

Fundraising  Events:
The Borders Youth Theatre Trustees appreciate all the help from parents and other volunteers who organise local fund-raising events. Even small-scale events help and it all adds up to make significant amounts each year. If you have an idea for, or would like to help with, a fundraising event please contact: info@bordersyouththeatre.scot

Donations and Legacies:
For the last 30+ years, Borders Youth Theatre has been a place where young people can hone and nurture their life-skills, making lifelong friends and memories, whilst producing drama and theatre to a high standard. To maintain Borders Youth Theatre’s work we need your help:  donations from local businesses and our friends in the community will be used to support young people in the Scottish Borders. If you would like to make a donation please contact: treasurer@bordersyouththeatre.scot
We also would like to thank those individuals who have remembered Borders Youth Theatre in their will; bequeathing legacies for various projects and recognising that Borders Youth Theatre helped to change the life-path for a member of their family.
