Letter from the Board of Trustees on workshop session costs for the coming term
We are excited to launch Borders Youth Theatre's autumn term of workshops, which continue our long commitment to giving children, young people and young adults across the Borders an exceptional drama experience in a safe and inclusive environment. We are returning to a 15-week format for the autumn term and will revert to 10 week terms next Winter and Summer. We have worked hard to absorb the inevitable cost increases that we have faced over the past years, which have seen our core costs almost double. And while we have relied on external grants and funds to offset those cost increases, these funds are becoming more scarce. For this reason, we are forced need to increase the session costs this term from £6 to £8: £120 for the 15 week term. We believe this continues to represent exceptional value and remains at the low end of costs for similar drama experiences elsewhere in Scotland. We hope you will continue to support Borders Youth Theatre in its important work by enrolling your children into this term’s workshops. As usual, Eula remains available if you wish to discuss the fees with her. Thank you for your continued commitment to Borders Youth Theatre.
The new workshop term starts on 28th August at Galashiels. Followed by Kelso: 30th August,
Duns: 1st September, Selkirk: 2nd September, Jedburgh and Online: 3rd September. Details below
